My dream home is a cozy yet spacious cabin tucked away in a forest beside a lake. With floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the open-concept living space with natural light, it feels one with nature. A massive stone fireplace creates a warm heart for the home. The kitchen has modern appliances but rustic touches like a butcher block island and copper pans hanging from the ceiling. Outside, there's a huge deck with an outdoor dining space and hot tub overlooking the glistening lake. A stone path leads from the backyard down to a private dock where I can swim, kayak and go fishing. Nearby is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows under the stars. The serenity of the setting fosters creativity. The cabin has three bedrooms decorated in earthy tones and textures. The master suite has French doors opening onto a secluded patio. I imagine unwinding there each evening with a good book and glass of wine. On weekends, I’ll host friends and family for backyard barbecues.
